Kalte Attacken

Der Begriff "Kalte Attacken" wird von Betroffenen unterschiedlich interpretiert. Zum einen als "Attacken" ohne Schmerz, bei denen lediglich eines oder mehrere der bekannten typischen Begleitsymptome des Cluster-Kopfschmerzes auftreten:
- gerötete Bindehaut des Auges (konjunktivale Injektion)
- tränendes Auge (Lakrimation)
- ein Lidödem
- verengte Pupille (Miosis)
- ein hängendes Augenlid (Ptosis)
- laufende und/oder verstopfte Nase (nasale Rhinorrhoe und/oder Kongestion)
- Schwitzen im Bereich der Stirn oder des Gesichtes
- körperliche Unruhe oder Agitiertheit.
Zum anderen werden auch leichtere Cluster-Kopfschmerzattacken von Betroffenen als "Kalte Attacken" bezeichnet.
